Everyone knows Japanese is the best (Ops, I am generalizing again!). So going to Putrajaya seems necessary. Not wanting to leave Ma behind, we waited for her to do her chores and left at about 8.30 p.m. (though akka insisted us to be there by 8 p.m.). Since, I work in Putrajaya, with all the short cut that I knew, I reached Putrajaya in no time and found a suitable parking quite far way from Dataran Gemilang.
We soon found a comfortable place and was waiting for the fireworks to start at about 10 p.m. Unfortunately, the performance was delayed first to 10.30 p.m., then to 11p.m. and finally at sharp 12 midnight. So like dummy, we stood there eating our junk food that we bought earlier from 7 eleven and waited.

Finally, after waiting for almost 2 ½ hours. Sharp twelve midnight, the
firework begins. Instead of the usual Merdeka shout outs, it was all the way, Ooh! Wah! Ahh! No one for at least the next 30 minutes talk about Merdeka!
Have the echoes of Tunku Abdul Rahman all forgotten. What has happened to Malaysia? Has the Japanese has once again mesmerized us with their charming spell? Some how I believe that no matter where the celebration is, the one true place that give tingling feeling in our heart, is at Dataran Merdeka. The feeling of standing there, hearing countdown from every single Malaysia, when the clock strike 12, the shouts of Merdeka by the Prime Minister, the fireworks and finally the national song, is truly superb!
