Disaster after disaster occurs but Kuppu’s life went on as usual till one fine day, the same drunkard man that recklessly drove and knocked Kuppu's mother to death, knocked him aswell. When Kuppu finally find out the truth about his mothers death, he made his decision to leave the village with absolutely nothing but his pencils that was buried underground to pursue his passion for drawing.
I am usually not fond of local movies and it takes a miracle for me to actually say, “Wow! The movie is great!”. Nevertheless, Pensil was simply superb, solute to the director, the lead actor as well as their crew. The director presented the story so real so touching and so sad while the actor acted it so genuinely. There was simply no essence of acting at all …everything seems so real. I cried and cried and cried even more towards the end specially when Kuppu digs out his buried treasure…. not money..not gold but his dear pensil.
